Hope Street Youth Development (HSYD) is a leadership development program for middle and high school youth in Wichita, KS. The program is designed to provide opportunities for young people to empower themselves through leadership skills that will shape their educational, career and life choices. With these skills in place they will be better able to contribute to their neighborhood, the city they live in, and the country now and in the future. Our goal is to teach young people how to think, not what to think. HSYD believes that through academic study, youth organizing and leadership development we can make a difference with the young people here in Wichita.
