Construction Wraps Up On 98 Front Street In DUMBO, Brooklyn

Exterior work is wrapping up on 98 Front Street, a ten-story residential building in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Designed by ODA, the reinforced concrete structure features the firm’s signature irregular cubic massing and will contain condominiums with 100 distinct layouts. Hope Street Capital is in charge of sales for the units, which range from studios to four-bedroom homes and start at $670,000.
New photographs from street level show the state of work at the site, which is bound by Adams Street to the east, York Street to the south, and Fleet Alley to the west. The exterior stands complete, with only minor touches outstanding along the ground floor and sidewalk, where some scaffolding and fences remain. The architecturally-finished concrete façade and large square windows make for a striking contrast to the traditional brick masonry and stone-enveloped structures characteristic of DUMBO.
Amenities include an indoor saltwater swimming pool, a steam room and spa, a fitness center, and a secondary fitness room located in the upper portion of the property. There will also be a residential communal lounge, coworking space, a 7,000-square-foot outdoor communal rooftop terrace with BBQ stations, three separate outdoor kitchens, a bocce ball court, and an outdoor screening area.
The nearest subway to the address is the F train at the York Street station, which is only two blocks away to the east. The A and C trains are also nearby at the High Street station, a six-minute walk to the south. The East River ferries at Brooklyn Bridge Park are a seven-minute walk to the west.
It looks like work should completely finish before the end of the year, possibly before the end of the summer.
