The Hendrik, 33-Unit Mixed-Use Condominium Building, Tops Out at 509 Pacific Street, Boerum Hill

Permits were filed in August 2015 to replace the Walgreens at 509 Pacific Street, in Boerum Hill, with a mixed-use condominium building. That building, dubbed The Hendrik, topped out recently.
Hopestreet and AEW Capital Management are the developers. Beyer Blinder Belle designed the structure, which will feature handmade Petersen brick from Denmark.
The six-story development will have 33 condominiums, ranging from a 1,200-square-foot two-bedroom starting at $1.625 million to a 2,500-square-foot four-bedroom starting at $2.9 million. Most units will have private outdoor space.
Amenities will include a landscaped rooftop terrace, from which you can see the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, a viewing garden designed by MPFP, a fitness center, a lounge, a children’s playroom and library, a pet spa, bicycle storage, on-site parking and 24-hour doorman service.
In addition to the residential units, there will be 26,000 square feet of retail on the ground and cellar levels.
The Hendrik will be minutes by foot from Barclays Center, the Atlantic Terminal mall, and the Brooklyn Academy of Music, plus the B, D, N, Q, R, 2, 3, 4 and 5 trains and the Long Island Rail Road.
Occupancy is expected by the end of the year.
