Brad Thomison
Executive Director
Joined the organization in 2008
Summary of years and relevant experience:
Though the majority of my work has been in media and advertising, I have worked with several student organizations at Wichita State University in the role of chief officer or advisor. I have a special interest in the LGBT student experience and enjoy working with students on finding and shaping personal identities. My work at Hope Street is the perfect intersection of these two areas. While having the creative expression of the media artist, I also have the joy of celebrating life with my students as they find their path to success.
In order to be successful in my role as Director of Marketing and Development, I draw upon my diverse spiritual perspective, experience working with students, and passion for exploration and discovery.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my four dogs, cat, goldfish, partner of four years, friends, and other assorted folks in my family of choice. I also enjoy watching movies at home and napping.
What excites me most about my work is the opportunity to meet and work with many amazing people while creating positive social change.
A motto or quote I live by is by Marcel Proust. He says, “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in seeing with new eyes.” |

Danielle Andrews
Program Director
Joined the organization in 2009
My amazing journey with Hope Street Youth Development began as a freshman in high school and since then I have continued to be apart of Hope Street. As an alumnus of the program I continued my work with Hope Street by serving on the board of directors. Currently I am apart of several different organizations at Wichita State University as well as in the community. I love creating change and being involved in everything I can get my hands on.
In order to be successful in my role as Program Director, I draw upon my experiences with different programs, passion to serve the community, diversity, and open mindedness.
In my spare time I like to curl up and watch DVDS (Big fan of the REDBOX). I have three cats that help to keep stress free (sometimes), and spending time with friends and family fills out the rest of time.
What excites me about my work is being able to affect youth the way I was affected. Being able to be the person I once looked up to as well as providing programs that will be useful in life.
A motto or quote I live by is by Julius Caesar, he stated. Experience is the teacher of all things.
