22-22 Jackson, Designed by ODA New York, Begins Leasing in Long Island City

2222 Jackson, an 11-story, 175-unit rental building designed by prolific architecture firm ODA New York, has begun leasing for its studio through three-bedroom apartments. “The intent with 2222 Jackson was to marry excellent design and condo-quality features, finishes and amenities in a building that celebrates functional design and its surrounding artistic neighborhood,” said Sha Dinour, principal and partner in Triumph Property Group. Situated across the street from MoMA PS1 and known for its boxy form and architectural concrete façade, 2222 Jackson’s structure plays on the notions of space and scale. Retail will be located on the ground floor. Jeffrey Gershon is the developer. “Designed from the inside out, 2222 Jackson Avenue presents a playful façade where the projected bays offer outdoor spaces to the apartments, and we are proud of the result, which is one of the first projects where we explore the concept of a ‘vertical village,’” said Eran Chen, founder and executive director of ODA New York. “The bays afford 2222 Jackson a mid-building ‘corner’ window and a terrace for the apartment above. The overall result is a powerful composition of 50 terraces along the façade to be populated by city dwellers.” Residents enter 2222 Jackson through a triple-height lobby with a doorman. Each floor features a windowed hallway corridor with staggered lighting designed to mirror the boxy façade. Residents can join the amenity club on the third floor, featuring a state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor and skylit swimming pool, with landscaped terrace off the pool area, and a lounge with WiFi, televisions and ping-pong. There is also on-site valet parking, an onsite resident manager, and a roof deck with expansive city and bridge views. There are washers/dryers on every floor. Studio through three-bedroom apartments, many with in-residence washers/dryers,feature floor-to-ceiling windows and white oak hardwood flooring throughout, as well as solid core doors. Fully responsive vertical HVAC units create additional interior space. Premier penthouse apartments come with private rooftop terraces. Kitchens boast custom stone countertops and Blomberg and Bosch appliances. Many closets are built-out with double-rod storage. Elegant baths have custom-built showers and tile. Triumph Property Group is handling exclusive marketing and leasing for 2222 Jackson, and there is an on-site leasing gallery.
